What do I need to use WigWag?
Coaches call pitches on an iPhone. Players receive visual calls and haptics on Apple Watch. The watch needs an internet connection through cellular, Wi-Fi, or a connected iPhone. Check your connection at the field before play.
Is this for baseball or softball?
Both. WigWag supports baseball and softball with customizable pitch sets, labels, colors, and haptic patterns. Support for more sports is coming.
Who can use WigWag?
WigWag is designed for players of all ages with adult supervision. Minors need parent or guardian permission, and team owners and coaches must be 18 or older. Under-13 participation involving personal information also requires the applicable parental privacy-consent process before collection. See our Privacy Policy for the current launch status.
Can I use it in a game?
Use depends on your league, age group, and player position. Check your association’s current rules before a game, including any rules about optional heart-rate sharing. Game Mode does not allow player-authored pitch replies.
What if a player loses connection?
WigWag shows receiver connection status to the coach. The watch displays a reconnecting state and a “USE SIGNS” fallback so your team knows when to switch back to hand signals.
